Adult Immunization Schedule Overview

Routine Adult Immunizations: a) HEPATITIS A/B for high risk patients; b) PAPILLOMAVIRUS for non-pregnant females < 27 yo preferably prior to becoming sexually active. Contraindicated in pregnancy. c) INFLUENZA annually. d) MMR if unreliable history and born after 1956. Re-vaccinate if given killed or unknown vaccine type between 1963 and 1967. Contraindicated in pregnancy. e) MENINGOCOCCAL for high risk patients (HIV, college students, military recruits, high risk area). f) PNEUMOCOCCAL one time for all patients > 65 yo. Repeat x 1 after 5 yr for CRF, asplenia, sickle cell, or immunocompromised. g) TETANUS every 10 yr. h) VARICELLA for high risk adults. Contraindicated in pregnancy. i) ZOSTER for all persons > 60 yr.
