Population Attributable Risk for Pancreatic Cancer in Northern Italy.

This study looked at the attributable risks for developing pancreatic cancer, and found that 14% of pancreatic cancers were attributable to tobacco smoking, 13% to heavy alcohol drinking, 10% to diabetes, 12% to a low adherence to the Mediterranean diet, and only 1% were attributable to a family history of pancreatic cancer.  (Pancreas. 2014 Dec 3.)
