Televised medical talk shows-what they recommend and the evidence to support their recommendations: a prospective observational study.

An analysis of the medical advice given on two TV talk shows (Dr OZ, The Doctors) found that approximately half of the recommendations have either no evidence or are contradicted by the best available evidence. Conflicts of interest are rarely discussed.  (BMJ. 2014 Dec 17;349:g7346)
