Association Between Dietary Fiber and Lower Risk of All-Cause Mortality: A Meta-Analysis of Cohort Studies

People in the top third of dietary fiber intake had about a 15% reduced risk of premature death from any cause, compared to people in the lowest third of dietary fiber intake. This meta-analysis study further estimated a 10% reduction in premature death for each increase of 10g/day fiber intake.  (Am. J. Epidemiol. December 31, 2014)
